Malibu Original 700ml

Malibu is the coconut-flavoured Caribbean rum liqueur that tastes like a beach holiday. Sweet, smooth and endlessly mixable, it's a fixture at summer parties.

Origin: Malibu was created in the early 1980s, originally for bartenders who wanted an easier way to make Piña Coladas. The brand's Caribbean rum heritage is centred on Barbados, and its white bottle with the palm-tree sunset is now recognised around the world.

How it's made: Caribbean rum is blended with natural coconut flavouring and sugar. The result is a smooth, sweet liqueur that's easy to mix.

Tasting notes: Clear in the glass. Toasted coconut and vanilla on the nose. The palate is sweet and creamy, with coconut leading and a light rum warmth underneath, finishing smooth.

How to serve: The classic way is Malibu and pineapple juice over ice. It's also the base for a Piña Colada, and works well with cranberry juice, cola, lemonade or orange juice. Serve cold.
