About this product
A unique blend of 10 exotic botanicals, vapour infused to create an exquisitely smooth and complex gin with a distinctive taste.
Bombay Sapphire is a bright, aromatic London Dry gin with ten botanicals, recognisable by its sapphire-blue bottle. Light and fresh, it's made for G&Ts.
Origin: Bombay Sapphire was launched in 1987, based on a recipe dating back to 1761. Since 2014 it's been distilled at Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire, England, a converted paper mill with two glasshouses for growing botanicals.
How it's made: Instead of steeping botanicals in spirit, Bombay Sapphire uses vapour infusion. The vapour rises through baskets holding ten botanicals, including juniper, lemon peel, coriander, almond, grains of paradise and cubeb berries, which gives a lighter, more aromatic gin.
Tasting notes: Crystal clear. Bright juniper, citrus and spice on the nose. The palate is light and fresh, with lemon, coriander and peppery spice, and a clean finish.
How to serve: Mix with tonic over plenty of ice with a wedge of lime. It's also great in a Bramble, a Tom Collins or a Martini.
Who it's for: G&T fans, home bartenders, and anyone looking for a fresh, aromatic gin with a distinctive bottle.
