Johnnie Walker Black Label 700ml

Johnnie Walker Black Label is a rich, smoky blended Scotch aged for at least 12 years. It's one of the most famous whiskies in the world and a benchmark for blended Scotch.

Origin: John Walker opened a grocery store in Kilmarnock in 1820 and began selling his own whisky blends. His grandsons introduced the coloured labels, and Black Label has been the family's flagship blend since 1909.

How it's made: A blend of around 40 single malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland, each aged for at least 12 years. It combines smoky malts from the west coast and islands with richer Speyside whiskies.

Tasting notes: Deep amber. Aromas of dark fruit, vanilla and gentle smoke. The palate is rich and smooth, with toffee, dried fruit, spice and smoky peat, finishing long and warming.

How to serve: Enjoy neat, with a splash of water or over ice. It's also great in a highball with soda, or in a smoky Old Fashioned.
