Moskovskaya Vodka 700ml

Moskovskaya Osobaya is a classic grain vodka in the traditional Russian style, with a clean, neutral profile and no flavourings. Despite the name, it is not made in Russia: it is produced in Riga, Latvia, from ingredients sourced within the European Union.

Origin: The Moskovskaya name dates back to 1894, when it was introduced by the Russian state vodka monopoly, and the brand has always been known for its green label. Today it is made by Latvijas Balzams in Riga, a distillery whose first facility opened in 1900.

How it's made: Grain spirit is distilled three times and blended with artesian water. The vodka is then filtered through quartz sand and charcoal, which gives it its clarity and soft, rounded texture.

Tasting notes: Neutral and fresh on the nose, with a faint grainy sweetness. The palate is soft and smooth, and the finish is short with a gentle peppery warmth.

How to serve: Taste it the traditional way, straight from the freezer in a small chilled glass, alongside something salty like pickles, smoked fish or cured meats. It also makes a dependable base for a Vodka Tonic, a Moscow Mule or a Bloody Mary.
