Gin Mare Mediterranean Gin 700ml

Gin Mare is a Mediterranean gin from the Spanish coast, made with olives, rosemary, thyme and basil. Savoury and herbal, it brings a taste of the coast to every glass.

Origin: Gin Mare was launched in 2010 and is distilled in a small chapel converted into a distillery in Vilanova i la Geltrú, a fishing village south of Barcelona. It was one of the first gins to build its identity around Mediterranean flavours.

How it's made: Each botanical is macerated and distilled separately before blending. Alongside juniper, it uses Arbequina olives, Italian basil, Greek thyme, Turkish rosemary and citrus from Spain, all distilled in a small copper pot still.

Tasting notes: Clear in the glass. A fresh, herbal nose of rosemary, basil and thyme, with a savoury olive note. The palate is smooth and aromatic, with juniper, citrus and herbs, and a dry, savoury finish.

How to serve: Mix with a premium Mediterranean tonic over plenty of ice, garnished with a sprig of rosemary and an olive or a slice of orange. It also makes an excellent savoury Martini.
