Hennessy VS 700ml

Hennessy VS is the entry point to the world's largest Cognac house: bold, fruity and made for mixing as well as sipping. It's one of the most recognisable spirits on any back bar.

Origin: Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer serving in the French army, founded the house in Cognac in 1765. Eight generations of the Fillioux family have since served as master blenders, and Hennessy is now the world's best-selling Cognac.

How it's made: VS stands for Very Special, meaning every eau-de-vie in the blend has been aged in oak for at least two years. Hennessy VS blends dozens of eaux-de-vie, double-distilled from white grapes grown in the Cognac region and aged in French oak barrels.

Tasting notes: Warm amber colour. Aromas of toasted oak, grilled almonds and fresh fruit. The palate is lively and full, with vanilla, ripe fruit and a touch of spice, and a gently warming finish.

How to serve: Enjoy neat or over ice, or mix with ginger ale and a lemon twist for a simple long drink. It also works in a Sidecar or a Cognac Old Fashioned.
